killers - night one
![]() There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life, and your door unlocks. You'll automatically find yourself knowing where to go, and that you should go. Make your way into the park; the door will unlock for you, and the path you need to take lights up with a dim red glow. When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. There's an old map of the park on the wall, as well as the mounted and stuffed heads of cartoon animal costumes on the wall. The decor seems like something of a parody of an upscale hunting lodge, and you're welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy snacks from back home, or relax in one of the outdoor hammocks. For tonight, focus on getting to know one another! Enjoy yourself as you decide who to kill. After all, you're in on a little secret - none of this is real, and it's all part of a fun little game from which everyone, winners and losers alike, will wake up. rulebook profiles All night votes will be due September 22 by 11:30 PM EST. At that point, the night's victim will be alerted and (if they want) a kill log will be put up that you can talk to and kill the victim in. Kill logs are always optional. Make sure you've read the OOC post! |

Everyone else doesn't know what's going on like we do, right? So if we save a little kid... they'll be mad, and want to execute for sure. So maybe we should wait, just a little bit.
no subject
You're right. And I'm sure we won't have many chances to actually convince people not to vote after the first few times.
[This girl is smarter than her age would suggest! Edea is impressed.]
Then... I think Ibuki's suggestion is good. If we can get people to not vote and then convert someone we'd rather save... that would be an ideal first day.

[ He shrugs ]
It certainly would not put the blame so obviously on any of us. However, I am not certain if I agree that we should convert the children. They would be put in the same situation as we are, yes? Even if we know it to be otherwise in truth, that those we kill simply wake up, blood will still be on our hands. If our intention is to spare the youngest, I do not know if getting them to join us will spare them at all.

I would be alright if they sit here and have snacks in the corner and not think about any of it. If they actually have to be involved, then I would agree wholeheartedly.
...As for us, if the weight of this is too hard for anyone to bear, I have no qualms about taking it upon myself. It's unfair to ask anything of civilians and children when I'm a trained soldier.
no subject
[ He shrugs ]
To that, we will see. But regardless, you don't need to bear it for me. I am the Earl of Phantomhive, so this isn't anything that different from my usual work.

[ So they wouldn't have to.
THOUGH THEY WOULD WANT TO, BRAINWASHING STYLE. ]
no subject
[ Though he doesn't elaborate on why. ]
Though it is all a theoretical discussion for now, so we need not worry about it too much.

[no]
I mean, a drawing of something and maybe it would just count as an 'abstain'.
But it's true; I would prefer to see them safe and away from here as soon as possible. ...Do you have any other thoughts about who best to convert if we get the chance, then?
no subject
[ He folds his hands in his lap with a frown. ]
If we could get one of the paired "Cops," this would be ideal, since they would be able to reveal the identity of the other. Those that can reveal us are the ones we want on our side rather than working against us.

Ibuki's got the right idea! We need to put off the executions for as long as we can.
no subject
[ He pauses to consider it. ]
Rather, we should likely attempt to find out the partners and be strategic in that way. Voting for a child ourselves will turn against us quickly, but the odds are also stacked against us, in that way. Even if we were to kill an adult, if they're paired with a child, it hardly matters, correct?
no subject
...We could frame a kid, too. When we've gotten to know everyone a little better.
no subject
[ are you two even thirteen jesus christ ]
But we need to be cautious ourselves during the day as well. Being overly friendly will be suspicious, as would asking about the partners in any direct terms.

...If I understand what you mean, then yes, that's correct. If we're going to convert people, they should be ones that will be better suited to this work. I wouldn't know anyone now, but those that prove themselves to be dangerous to us. They would be better on our side rather than "dead," in my opinion.

[ Basically.......was all she meant. ]
Though, if we could figure out who the special roles were, we could convert them!
no subject
[You're her first choice for PR because no one would consider you as a killer]

[ He sighs because the way Ibuki talks is like, incomprehensible to Earl Fancypants ok ]
It is likely the best to quietly advocate to abstain from executions as long as possible for that reason...

However, there's also the factor that children might have a harder time keeping our secret during the daytime.
no subject
[ He brings a hand to his mouth thoughtfully as he considers it. ]
So it gives us more reason to target them, rather directly or indirectly. Those we convert have to be those who we think would be able to stick to secrecy, first of all.

Well, we're not working for evil, first of all. But the first one, Kyouya? That sort of personality might be to our benefit.
