special guests day nine

10 players remaining.

This isn't quite usual, but it's the middle of the afternoon when you suddenly find yourself really wanting to check out the treehouse. You just know that you need to go there. Well, no one seems to be milling around, so it will be safe to head that direction.

When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. There's an old map of the park on the wall, as well as the mounted and stuffed heads of cartoon animal costumes on the wall. The decor seems like something of a parody of an upscale hunting lodge, and you're welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy snacks from back home, or relax in one of the outdoor hammocks.

In the center of the room are several crates filled with weapons. Blades, guns, anything you can feasibly carry and use to kill.

Who: Killers and Oz
What: Pain Ping Pong Championship Round
When: The ninth night
Where: The park...

[It's in the dead of the night when Oz's door abruptly unlocks. His bracelet begins to beep. Something seems to be calling him, ordering him to leave his room. For every moment he delays, it beeps with more and more urgency, especially if he tries to bring anything. And besides, he feels groggy, not inclined to protest much.

As he steps outside, lights illuminate the path. The lights lead into the park. As soon as he steps through the door into the park, the door slams shut. It won't open for again, and pounding on the door or calling for help will not yield any results. It's only once inside that the grogginess wears off.

You can run or try to hide, but there's not much use to it. Your bracelet is still beeping, the only obvious sound in the darkness. And though you're not restrained, you'll find there's no way you can strike a blow against the killers; the bracelet will tighten and you'll feel the grogginess return if you try to fight back.]

There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life, and your door unlocks. Make your way into the park; the door will unlock for you, and the path you need to take lights up with a dim red glow.

When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. Enjoy yourself as you decide who to kill. After all, you're in on a little secret - none of this is real, and it's all part of a fun little game from which everyone, winners and losers alike, will wake up.

Welcome to the Hall of Mirrors, where you'll decide who is executed and who survives! In the afternoon, all characters will gather here, in a wide open room surrounded by distorting trick mirrors. At one side, near the dark tunnel which leads into the dark ride portion of this attraction, is a small ticket machine and a box. Get a ticket from the machine, write a name down, and deposit it in the box.

When voting is finished, the machine lights up with the sound of a bell, and the barred gates covering the tunnel to the dark ride portion will lift. Someone has been chosen, and you can take your leave.

the bunker

You're prepared to die - perhaps you're about to get killed at night, watching your killers' eyes grow gradually more and more unfocused, or perhaps you're snatched out of your car after the vote. But you don't. Instead, the world starts spinning and then everything goes black.

You come to standing upright in a decontamination shower. Step out of the shower, and you'll find a towel and a set of folded clothes. Outside the shower room is a hallway of numbered doors, each which is heavy and may only be opened by turning a wheel, and each containing a simple cot, sink, and toilet. Instead one of these doors, you'll find a box containing some of your personal items.

Besides the many doors to rooms, the building you're in has a large storage area stocked with canned and dried food and more bottled water. There's only a single, tiny stove to cook on, but there is a large amount of gasoline stockpiled for it. There are no windows here, and it's dark, only dimly lit by sparse electric lighting.

At the end of the hall is a control room, with comfortable chairs to sit in and a screen from which the park can be monitored. There is actually, in a chest left behind in this room, some expensive vodka and snacks. You can watch what is happening back in the park. One thing is clear - everyone believes you to be dead, but that corpse they're looking at is not yours.
